ABRSM’s new online course Being an Effective Teacher is designed to fit around your working life and help you develop your professional skills.

It will provide you with fresh ideas for lessons and help you to become a more effective and confident music teacher.

By the end of the course you will have:

  • gained new skills, and learned how to incorporate them into your teaching style
  • explored current theories and initiatives in music education
  • developed an ability to reflect on your own teaching and assess its effectiveness

ABRSM mentors will lead both individual and group discussions via email and through online forums, where you will have the opportunity to communicate with like-minded teachers worldwide.

Course dates

Courses start from 1 November 2010 and each will run over 15 weeks. When you make your online booking, you will have the opportunity to select which course start date you would prefer.
