NEWSFLASH
1. The Performing Arts Network of South Africa presents the 48 Hour Musicals Festival

The PANSA 48 Hour Festival is back, and this time its an all singing all dancing Musical extravaganza. In just a single weekend, some of Cape Towns hottest talent will be creating completely original musicals, rehearsing them, and performing them for your viewing pleasure.

In previous years, theatre, dance, and music have all been created in the 48 Hours, but this time the challenge is to combine all three. Writers receive themes and rules on Friday night at 6pm, and have just 24 hours to write a completely original short musical. These are given over to directors, performers and musicians who have 24 hours to rehearse and stage the production. Results in the past have been moving, funny, heart-breaking, and above all completely unexpected, innovative, and inspiring.

The action all takes place at the Theatre in the District, and the final showcase is at 6pm on Sunday 31 October. Make sure you dont miss this truly unique event on Cape Towns calendar. Tickets are R50, and are available at the door or through the PANSA office. Enquiries: Nono on 0214483513 or nono@pansa.org.za
