I am pleased to introduce Milan and Lilo (twins aged 10) as our Cool Classic Kidz ambassadors.  They will be performing with 10 other Cool Classic Kidz at the Greyton/Genadendal Classics for All Festival on the 3 June at 18:00 in the Genadendal Moravian Church.  The show is called:  Cool Classic Kidz “A Story of Hope Through Music” 

It tells the story of  how class mates, and their music, help Chanson to overcome very difficult circumstances.  Milan and Lilo interacts with the audience and brings a bit of humor to the show.

The text was written by Adele Rix.  She is the co-owner and instructor at The Stage Theater and Arts School in Durbanville.  Adele was born in Johannesburg and matriculated in the Western Cape. She started her dance career at the early age of 4 and because of her extreme passion for dance she hasn’t stopped ever since! After school she completed various dance courses in South Africa and Europe, and finally ended up completing her tersiary studies in the Performing Arts at the internationally acclaimed Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town. She was also part of a contemporary dance company for 5 years during her studies. Her qualifications include: • Associate Teachers Diploma in Classical Ballet with Distinction • Associate Teachers Diploma in Imperial Tap Dancing with Honours • Advanced Modern Dance Examinations with Distinction • Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology with Distinction Other areas of expertise include: • Musical Theatre Choreography • Scriptwriting • Songwriting • Directing.

Sophia Wessels, Head of the Theater Department at The Stage, was responsible for rehearsals and getting out Cool Classic Kidz ready for the show.

Louis Niemand,  Creative Director and owner of Lifesize Designs was the talented puppeteer responsible for the designing and making of our two puppets (Milan and Lilo).

This is a show not to be missed.  It will inspire everyone for 8 – 80!!!! Come and see our Cool Classic Kidz in action.
